St Valentine´S Day
The main objective of St. Valentine was to support love, marriage, and Christian values, even in the face of persecution. According to legend, during a time when the Roman Emperor Claudius II banned marriages to encourage military enlistment, St. Valentine secretly performed weddings for Christian couples. His goal was to protect the sanctity of marriage and help couples stay united in love and faith. This act of defiance ultimately led to his arrest and martyrdom. In essence, St. Valentine stood for love, compassion, and commitment, especially under unjust laws.
Valentine’s Day Celebration at Colegio Ciudad Montes
Ciudad Montes Bilingual School celebrated Valentine’s Day with a special activity focused on emotions. Each student created a poster answering the question: «How do I express my love?» and wore it around their torso throughout the day. During the day, both students and teachers shared the meaning behind their chosen word, explaining it in a way that was consistent with their personal reality. This activity encouraged reflection and respect for the different ways people express love.
